She is the recipient of several awards for her art work including “Best in show” and an “Excellence in the Arts Award”. She is a former Regional Director of The Canadian Society of Painter’s in Watercolour and a former President of the Port Moody Art Association. She has taught art for many years and is a popular art instructor at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in Burnaby and various other locations.  She works mainly in acrylic and watercolour. Her work has recently been published in "Best of Worldwide Watermedia" book by American company "Kennedy Publishing."

I love the fragility, mood and luminosity I can achieve with watercolours and the textures, layering of colours and spontaneity I can achieve with acrylics. I choose the medium best suited to the subject or mood of my painting. My subject matter is varied. I work in series and although my work may appear representational I select, exaggerate, alter, simplify and rearrange. It is a creative process and I take pleasure in creating images that would not otherwise exist in quite the same way.”
